The "Hilariously Serious" Dune Beach Hostel Commandments 🏝️

Rule 1: No Extra Creatures

As much as we love animals, no pets are allowed. Between horses, village dogs, chickens, and curious beach critters, adding your own furry friend would turn this place into National Geographic Live.

Rule 2: Adults Only, Sunshine

Dune Beach Hostel is 18+. If you can’t legally order a drink, this isn’t the right place for you. But if you are 16, and accommpanied by an adult, and behave like an adult we will let you stay.

Rule 3: No Bedroom Picnics

Food stays in common areas. Bedrooms attract ants, bugs, and uninvited wildlife faster than you can say “where did that come from?”.

Rule 4: Respect Is Mandatory

Disrespectful, illegal, aggressive, or unsafe behaviour will get you removed — no refund, no discussion. This includes disrespect toward staff, volunteers, animals, and the local community.

Rule 5: No Outside Visitors

For everyone’s safety, no outside guests are allowed in accommodation areas. If they’re not booked, they’re not staying.

Rule 6: Smoke Where the Wind Is

Smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor areas. Indoors is a hard no — the ocean breeze deserves better.

Rule 7: Drink Responsibly (Seriously)

Alcohol is allowed in common areas. Getting blackout drunk, reckless, or disruptive is not. If you can’t handle your drinks, we will handle them for you — by stopping service.

Rule 8: Respect the Quiet

Beach vibes don’t mean beach rave. Keep noise to a respectful level, especially at night. Other guests, horses, neighbours, and the ocean itself appreciate the calm.

Rule 9: Punctuality Is Sexy

Check‑in from 2 PM. Check‑out by 10 AM. Late check‑out is only possible if agreed in advance.

Rule 10: This Is Not MasterChef

Use only designated kitchen or food areas. No private cooking stoves, no food storage in rooms, and no reorganising the kitchen like you live here.

Rule 11: Watch Your Step

Sand, water, and tiles can be slippery. Walk, don’t surf, unless you’re actually in the ocean.

Rule 12: No Glass Near Water

No glass near showers, outdoor areas, or anywhere barefoot feet roam. Broken glass and bare toes do not mix.

Rule 13: No BYOB

Outside alcohol is not permitted. Support the hostel bar — it keeps the lights on, the music playing, and the beers cold.

Rule 14: Adventure Comes With Responsibility

Ocean activities, horses, village life, and rural conditions all come with real risks. Follow instructions. Ask questions. Common sense is your best friend.

Rule 15: Enjoy Yourself

This one’s compulsory. Respect the place, the people, and the animals — and you’ll have the time of your life.
